The Department of Veterans' Services was providing about eight veteran toolkits a month but wanted to provide more to help veterans gain employment.

Historically, the Arizona Department of Administration would hold public auctions of both abandoned items from the Transportation Security Administration as well as state surplused items. This process was found to be inefficient, as it not only created lengthy waiting periods between auctions but also grouped similar items together, forcing consumers to buy in bulk. 

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, state agencies, just like many other businesses, had to quickly move to telework to protect employees and continue to serve the public.

The Industrial Commission of Arizona has been an early proponent of the state’s continuous improvement program, so it made sense to rely on this system to help transition the majority of Industrial Commission employees to telework.

When he toured the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections' Adobe Mountain School in August of 2019, Gov. Doug Ducey noted that the lack of an official form of identification can be a barrier to successful community reintegration after youth are released from the corrections system. Lack of identification can prevent youth from enrolling in school and gaining employment.

There is a tremendous need among the prison population for substance abuse and recovery services. Yet the level of need far outweighs the capacity and resources that the Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry has through formal treatment programs and 12-Step volunteers.
